The propaganda of what is considered today as the most dreadful virus has become the anthem of the mainstream media. It is difficult to tune to any channel on TV without seeing constant reminders of the rising figures of COVID-19 cases across the nations. The number of deaths and infected cases is on the rise by the day. They intentionally stopped telling us the number of recovered cases. Scarcely would you be given a slot to air your opinion that dissent from the view of the COVID-19 protagonists on any mainstream media anymore? It is almost considered as "heretic," if you disagree with the 'principal actors for global safety'.
The social media magnates are not left out. Social media giants like Facebook, Google etc, have joined the campaign. If they were to have their way, they would have totally obliterated any contradictory posts on COVID-19 from their platforms. But, they wouldn't want to take such risks because they cannot afford to lose their users. It's not that they care so much about the users on their platforms, what they greedily care about is for the users’ data, money, support, and patronage. In other words, they need us, the users, to survive.
In line with this, any dissenting voice today is considered anti-compliant. It is clearer now that COVID-19 is not the endgame. COVID-19 is the forerunner of their grand plan, which is to Vaccinate ALL humans. In the coming days, their plan is to hype the curves of the COVID-19, create unnecessary panic across the nations about the increasing death toll, and of course, call for another lockdown, or DEMAND the vaccination of all citizens.
In the days to come, the vaccination exercise will move from an appeal to a mandate. Anyone who is not vaccinated will be considered a public enemy. The question Africans are not asking is that, do they think the proponents of this vaccine love the Africans so sincerely? As a nation, there are not enough jobs, basic amenities, our healthcare is impoverished, yet our Government is proposing to borrow to buy vaccines that cost Trillions of Naira. Have they considered the possibility of investing such huge money in research for the cure for COVID-19? What about converting the money into building healthcare centers, hospitals, and research institutes? Why do we have leaders who only depend on handouts?
It is a shame we cannot think for ourselves, but go by the dictates of the new colonial masters. It is a shame that we have all the wealth, resources, and manpower to make us a great nation yet we live like paupers who have lost all the sense of dignity. It is a shame that after 60 years of independence, we can still subject ourselves to the dictates of foreigners. Nigeria, it is time to awake. Awake from your slumber. The night is far spent, the day is at hand, yet you are still sleeping. Awake, O great nation, awake.
