IT'S 2021.
Recently, my attention has been drawn to several posts and videos discrediting Men of God as false Prophets and their prophecies as fake. This was warranted by the prophecies they gave for 2020 as a year of “Perfection,” “Best Year Ever,” “Supernatural shift,” “Prosperity,” “Breaking the Limits,” and so on.
It is obvious that the proponents of these posts and videos are sensual and devoid of spiritual realities. They claim to be knowledgeable, but by their expressions, you can tell that they are just sentimental antagonists of the Christian faith. They pride themselves on their ignorance and call it wisdom.
The questions they did not ask themselves is: Were the prophecies these men of God gave meant for everyone in the world or to their church members? If these prophecies are meant for their church members, so why take Panadol for another man’s headache?
If a Man of God spoke to his congregation that 2020 will be a great year, must these villains conclude this prophecy was fake because the world did not experience a great year? These men of God spoke to their members, and it is up to their members to determine if their Pastors’ words were fake or not.
As a father, I bless my children at the beginning of each year and declare to them that it would be a blessed year for them. 2020 was not an exception. Does this mean if they face challenges in 2020, I have lied to them or my words are void?
My words to my children will stand if they hold on to it because it’s a blessing from me as their father to them. If they face any difficulty or problem in 2020, their response is to remember the blessing of their father and stick to it irrespective of the adverse circumstances.
I don’t understand who made these people a judge over Men of God to term their prophecies as fake. 2020 could have been the worst year for some people because of the COVID-19 plandemic, but that does not mean it was a terrible year for everybody. How could they conclude that the Pastors gave false hope because the world was hit by COVID-19? This is “ignorance gone on a rampage.”
Even if they claimed the prophecies were to the world, the Bible made us understand that not all prophecies must be fulfilled. What these ignorant folks do not know is that in most cases, there is the God-part and there is the man-part for a prophecy to be fulfilled. If at the beginning of the year, your Pastor declared that it would be your best year ever. It is up to you to accept or reject the prophecy. When you accept it, it doesn’t matter what goes on in the world, it would surely be the best year for you.
So, those criticizing Pastors should look into the Bible, and see similar examples where prophecies did not come to pass even though it was God that spoke through His servants:
1. God sent a Prophet by the name of Isaiah to King Hezekiah that he should prepare his house that he was to die from his sickness. (Isaiah 38:1-5). Though Prophet Isaiah delivered the message to the king, the prophecy was not fulfilled because the king prayed, and 15 more years were added to his years. Would you then conclude that Prophet Isaiah was a charlatan?
2. King Jehoshaphat and King Ahab met the Man of God, Elisha, to tell them if they would be victorious in their war against Moab or not (2 Kings 3:11-27). Elisha prayed and declared that they would win the war, but lo, they did not win because the war was inconclusive. Please, tell Elisha that he was a fake prophet.
3. God sent Prophet Jonah to Nineveh to tell them that disaster was coming and Nineveh would be destroyed. Behold, that prophecy did not come to pass. Jonah himself was angry with God that people would call him a false prophet. You can get the full account in the book of Jonah (Jonah 3:1-19, 4:1-3).
I can go on and on but these 3 should suffice for now.
Now, this is 2021. Do you know it is up to you to decide how this year would work out for you? So, whether some wicked men are proposing another lockdown or another economic disaster, or scaring people with new strings of COVID-19, COVID-21, or mutated COVID, you can hold on to the words of prophecies and achieve all that you have set for yourself for the year.
My friend, don’t let any man tell you otherwise about these Men of God. They are only trying to destroy the faith that has kept you going as an individual. Unfortunately for them, they cannot stop you from advancing and trusting in God’s Word to take you from one level of glory to another.
